What to Expect
At Aiden Center for Day Surgery, we strive to make sure our patients are well-informed in addition to well-cared for. For further questions please feel free to contact us.
Before the day of your procedure,
you will receive a call from our pre-op department to review your medical history and medications. A complete history and physical are required before any procedure, and additional pre-op testing and medical clearance may be needed.
The pre-op nurse will go over your instructions and answer any questions you may have. The billing department may also call you to help with insurance questions.
Contact your physician right away if you have any health changes before your scheduled procedure, such as cold, fever, or flu-like symptoms, or any recent hospital visits.
Arrange for a responsible adult to take you home, you must have a responsible adult over the age of 18 to take you home after the procedure.
Please make sure to follow all pre-surgery guidelines given by your doctor.

Our facility is conveniently located at 1580 West Lake Street in Addison.
On the day of your procedure, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will escort you home and ensure your safety and comfort after you leave our facility.
Unless you are told otherwise:

Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your procedure

Only take medications that your physician has approved

Do not wear jewelry, makeup, lotions or perfumes

Do not wear contact lenses

Wear loose, comfortable clothing
Arrival information, you will be asked to arrive early before your estimated procedure time to allow enough time for check-in and preparation .
Check In, our clinical staff will assist you through registration, pre-operative preparation, and intake.
During preparation, your care team will go over your medical history, verify the details of your procedure, and address any remaining questions you may have.
After your procedure, you will stay in the recovery area until you are ready to be discharged.
At discharge, you will be given detailed instructions for care at home based on your procedure.
